Maple Sticks is a blog about my life as a queer wife and Mama of two living in Vermont. I try to post 2-3 times a month. You can expect to read about my life in Vermont, gender and LGBTQ+ issues, my awesome kids, mental health issues, self-acceptance and self-love, and basically anything else related.
I have been sharing my life with the internet since 2010 when my wife and I started @Vermont, a blog about our decision and plan to move from Florida to Vermont. You can read more history if you want.
I consider myself a super-geek of sorts. I love numbers and graphs, comic books and superheros, and most of all bow-ties. It has taken me many years and many challenging experiences to figure out who I am and what I want to do, a journey that is ongoing. Everyday is a chance to be who you are, live your truth, and be proud.
I believe that one of the best ways to fight for acceptance and rights is to live our lives, talk about the struggles and challenges that we face, and to be open and proud of who we are.
That is what Maple Sticks is all about.
